Basic Program Selection and Frequency

Program Selection Basics

  1. Associated organ (most organs are available)
  2. Specific issue
  3. Organ & Regulation of associated organ (not for all organs)

What are some ways to establish the best programs to use?

  1. Symptoms and il health history (this helps to identify underlying issues and thus additional beneficial programs)
  2. Form medical information
  3. From a health professional assessment (EIS/Introspect are two useful devices for this)

Symptoms are your experience. They are not a medical condition. They are a starting point. For recent (acute) issues the PTD may be all that is needed.

Program Frequency Basics

  • Select the principle program>
    • For general acute issue e.g. pain use till the pain reduces; allow some time e.g. 30-60 minutes for follow effects (remember that we are restoring body self regulating software and this can take some time to filter into physical action). If it is still significant continue with the program to a max of 3 times in one day: try to allow 1-2 hour interval. If still no significant effect consider
      • Related programs- use these as supports.
      • The causal issue- if you know this also use the relevant program**.
    • For chronic issues use x1-3 per day per day. Pay attention to the possible effects of the program e.g. do not use an energising program before bed!
      • Related programs- use these as supports.
      • The causal issue- if you know this also use the relevant program
  • Consider all aspects involved and use the supportive programs.
  • Consider any casual elements - if these are still present they may disturb the SRS system that you are offering correction to.

Sleep as an example

  • Issues
    • Getting to sleep
    • Insomnia (staying asleep)
  • History > establishing the issue and reference points
    • Times >To bed? To sleep? Night-time waking? Awake? Alert? How many hours of sleep? Experience of what is needed?
    • A long term issue? Underlying causes
    • More recent? Is there an underlying constant stress etc, or a certain event that acts as a trigger
    • What makes better? Worse?
  • Triggers
    • ?An accumulating concern about not sleeping-
    • ?Anxiety
    • ? Depression
    • ? Low on the fell good scale
    • ? Worry about? Money/relationships?
    • ?Thoughts that won’t stay still- what is the subject?
    • ? other (you are the one who knows!)
  • Other methods

What have you tried? What worked? What didn’t work?

Difficulty in getting to sleep

  • Relaxation/Sleep to finish 30-60 minutes before bedtime.
  • Other programs:
    • Exhaustion/Fatigue (Miscellaneous),
    • Depressive (symptomatic)
    • Relaxation/Calm Sympathetic System (symptomatic),
    • Serotonin (to have more of the good feelings-symptomatic)- wear on head and use in the morning; sedation.

Difficulty in staying asleep

  • Insomnia program
  • Other programs:
    • Exhaustion/Fatigue (Miscellaneous),
    • Depressive (symptomatic)
    • Relaxation/Calm Sympathetic System (symptomatic),
    • Anxiety- use Serotonin (to have more of the good feelings-symptomatic)- wear on head and use in the morning.

Slow results or too little change

  1. Correct program selected, full sequence and all aspects addressed (Associated organ, specific issue, regulation of associated organ
  2. Is there a causal issue not being addressed: one that is the foundation to the disturbance chain, creating the noticeable effect at a distance. This may be benefit from a health professionals input.
  3. Is the issue chronic, present for a long time: then it will take time to repair.
  4. Try more regular treatments
  5. Review lifestyle and triggers that may be contributing.

How Long does a treatment Hold?
Hippocrates would probably say: “Depends on the level (history) of insults!”

If:

  • You lead a health supportive life
  • You take care about “health insults”
  • You locate and address casual factors

Then very well

Otherwise you may have to do “top ups”

For more information see “Detailed Notes on Program Selection and Usage”

Who can use?

The PTD is a small (small mobile phone size) device that can be used anytime, anywhere, on the move, for most people: it is like having a mini professional device in your pocket. Users include babies (with some adult help!), children, teenagers, adults, oldies and animals!

Indications for use
Statement from CE registration basis.

“The PTD is a personal therapy device which offers electromagnetic information to your body for the purpose of promoting the self-healing functions.”

Babies and young children
They generally respond very quickly: there is less confusion in the internal signals, less “corruption” of organ and system functioning, more activity due to the innate growth process. Use the opposite placement approach; away from the area and the baby: maybe 30 cm/1 foot. You can also reduce the operation time using the user mode. Babies are a little unaware of care of the PTD: a suggestion is during sleep time and located on the outside of the crib. Do not use stimulating programs: these may tend to keep them awake.

Can I use the PTD for animals?
The PTD has been used for animals: especially cats and dogs, using general programs like inflammation support: you can place the PTD in the animal basket.

They generally respond very quickly: there is less confusion in the internal signals, less “corruption” of organ and system functioning, Select placement according to vitality and age. For young/small animals consider placement away from the area and animal: maybe 30 cm/1 foot. You can also change the operation time using the user mode. Animals are a little unaware of care of the PTD: a suggestion is during sleep time and located on the outside of the crib

Who can’t use?

  • Pregnancy (although the developer use dit as the only form of pain control for his daughters birth!)
  • Pacemakers and other electrical implants (e.g. cerebral implants, insulin implants)
  • Epilepsy or proneness to seizures
  • Under influence of drugs or alcohol.
  • Medications: Generally when an organism is healthy there are no requirements for medications. Care must be taken when using the PTD with certain medications to avoid two approaches to the same issue. If they have a cumulative effect they for example reduce blood pressure to an too low value. (Please see notes on medications)

Are there any side effects that clients have experienced?
No adverse effects have been reported in the development and proving trials or via client’s feedback or via the adverse event reporting system. The detoxification program can potentially produce the same discomfort as any detoxification program that is used too vigorously!

What steps does a client need to take in order to determine if this device is appropriate for their concern?
The PTD is safe to use for nay concern that is covered by the PTD programs or where not using general and organ programs, except for situations under contraindications. Care is needed in placement and frequency of use for babies, children, animals, compromised individuals.

Can the treatment be used in the clinic only or can it be used in the home?
The PTD is designed for out of clinic use. A therapist may of course use in clinic.

The PTD Programs

Program Categories

Full programs: address SRS aspects associated with both symptoms and some principle underlying casual disruptions in the SRS.

Symptomatic: addresses your personal experience of an issue.

SRS: self regulating system, the body health regulatory software.

Category Comments
Cardio-Vascular Full and symptomatic
Dental Manifestation only: generally temporary action
Digestion Full and symptomatic
Ear, Eye, Nose, Throat Full and symptomatic
Female Organs Full and symptomatic
Headaches Manifestation only: generally temporary action
Hormonal / Mineral Balance Full and symptomatic
Injury / Joints Full and symptomatic
Miscellaneous Full and symptomatic
Nervous System Full and symptomatic
Respiration Full and symptomatic
Skin Full and symptomatic
Symptomatic Manifestation only: generally temporary action
Urinary and Genitals Full and symptomatic

The programs within each category relate specifically to that category: for example adrenal balance under Urinary and Genitals relates to the adrenals in relation to this system only.

What type of programs are there?
Both issue manifestations (symptoms) and deeper, established disruptions. The PTD is based on the symptoms you experience, from a health professional assessment or from a valid medical diagnosis.

PTD Body Location

General
The intensity of the PTD field decays rapidly: in testing it has been found that the closer to the issue the faster the PTD works. The normal convenient location for me (and for women wearing a belt!) is on the belt. This is fine for organs in this area. If however you are working on an ankle issue the pattern is less intense effects will take longer to show. This might be fine (and convenient) for chronic issues but acute issues may benefit from the more intense local attention.

If you can locate near the issue then changes can be twice as fast. Acute issues may benefit from the more intense local attention.

Common Locations: on belt, chain around neck, trouser pocket, shirt/blouse pocket (take care not to let it fall!)

Legs/arms: use a tie strap like a luggage strap, a small yoga belt, a sweat band.

Torso or back: use a tie strap like a luggage strap, a small yoga belt, a sweat band.

Head: this is important for brain activities like neurotransmitters (serotonin, dopamine) and for head located organs (hypothalamus, pituitary).

Other aspects like sinus need some invention on your part!

PTD usage

What is a typical duration of treatment?
New issues that do not have a deep causation or occasional issues may benefit form only a few treatments. If an issued is deeper, has an established casual chain that has been present for some time, a constructed program used daily for several weeks has bene found beneficial.

Is PTD Treatment cost effective?
Assuming daily treatments

Does it need to be in contact with the skin?
No. The signals are electromagnetic and penetrates the body.

Can I share the PTD?
Absolutely- it is non contact and is not tuned to any one person.

What expertise is needed to use?
If you can use a TV control then you can use the PTD.

What care should I take of the PTD?
Love your PTD- love your body!
Please don’t drop it- it is not drop friendly!
It does not like water!

Will insurance cover this treatment and if so under which code?
There are currently no arrangements in place.

PTD Treatment Questions

Is it effective?
Yes. Some issues show faster results than others. Results are generally fast when the issue does not have an established causal route (it is not chronic). A headache can clear in 5-10 minutes; menstrual pain responds quickly. Issues that are well established or have a complex pathway or where the causal factors are not removed (e.g. pain from arthritis treated only with pain and not an adjunctive program) may have a slow response. These require a carefully constructed and regularly used process.

What are some basic parameters for effective treatment?
Be clear about the issue: understand what underlying aspects may be involved. Lifestyle is important. The blood sugar program will work much better when there is a balanced blood sugar diet.

Are the programs designed to offset lifestyle abuses?
We often experience loss of health just through aging as well as slow, creeping, insidious, small lifestyle abuses.
Illnesses do not come upon us out of the blue. They are developed from small insults daily against Nature. When enough insults have accumulated, illness will suddenly appear.
Hippocrates

The PTD concept is to restore health- if you keep putting a load on your health the self regulating system can become affected, contaminated, like a computer virus attack. If you continually eat McDonald’s meals as a staple diet there will be effects: the PTD may counteract these on a software level but may not be able to counteract the physical level of abuse.

What is the best support for the PTD?

  1. Good supportive lifestyle
  2. Good vitality
  3. Use the PTD
  4. Consider which programs to use
  5. Follow the guidelines for treatment times

Good vitality supports the PTD - how do I get better vitality?

  1. Good supportive lifestyle
  2. Medithera magnetic mat
  3. E’sheets (earthing sheets)

Are some program procative?
Absolutely.
Active defense…
The anti aging program
The anti oxidation/free radical program.
Supportive regular organ treatments

How quickly does it work?
If an issues is recent, acute then it can work quickly. Effects from the PTD generally show within 30 minutes for BP and blood sugar issues. Headaches can clear in 10 minutes if they are an acute issue and the correct headache program is selected.

Case Example of EIS 30 Minute Test:
Patient 48 years old, several unresolved emotional factors have caused reduced activity in the hypothalamus, which results in psychosomatic regulatory problems. The PRU program “Hypothalamus / Pituitary” was used once with time reduced to half of the default. An EIS test was performed right before and right after running the program. An imbalance of cellular activity at the level of 24% reduced to 13% in less than half an hour. This is however a temporary balancing, which will only hold for hours or days unless the causation is also dealt with.

Is it cost effective?
Absolutely. You have access to virtually continuous treatment. For example if you needed treatment 4 times per week this would cost ~€ 60=100. So in a very short time the PTD cost is quickly covered. Then there is the added benefit of when to be treated - the control is yours.

Are the programs safe?
Yes. There is no record of adverse effects. The detoxification program can lead to detox effects if the body is low in vitality or detox organs are compromised. Your own experience sets the pace.

Can the PTD be overused?
For common cold support continuous use supports the fastest resolution. More generally overuse can lead to accommodation. The body may resent get the same information that is not needed- just like you being asked the same question 100 times! You may then also not tune into other questions. Similarly your system may decide to ignore even needed signals. An example is accommodation to TENS signals after too much use. Appropriate use is the key and this comes from your own experience. Using supportive programs is suggested for variety and generally 3 times per day is a good benchmark. Reduce use when issues reduce: go to a maintenance program.

Are there just standard programs?
There are several types of program that cover new/acute/occasional symptoms (1-2-3 step programs) and those tailored to help with more established dysfunctions (5-8 step programs)

  1. The 314 base programs, most of which have multiple aspects to them
  2. The set of comprehensive standard programs in user mode.
  3. The facility to create tour own programs in user mode (and adjust time, number of cycles and add your own frequencies)
  4. The suggested support programs for various issues.

How well does the treatment hold?
If you have good vitality, good lifestyle, remove the obvious stressors, and the issue is recent (acute) then it generally holds well.

If the issue is old, has unresolved casual issues, has many aspects involved then it takes longer and benefits from an understanding of the causal chain. In hypothyroid cases the cause may be a digestive immune system issue that results in an auto immune attack on the thyroid, or it may be a consequence of part of its family - the adrenals.

Progress in established issues can be assess by EIS tests which often show changes in advance of a significant change in symptoms.

What health professional assessment devices do you suggest to establish the best program?
There are options according to the practitioner facilities. For an initial EIS assessment we suggest and EIS (Electro Interstitial Scan) which also enables initial tracking of changes. This is one of the devices used for validation of the PTD operation.

For full assessment the following route is sound:

  1. Intake questionnaire to identify focal areas and help track all possible health issues
  2. BIA (Bioimpedance) for cellular vitality, hydration, fat distribution
  3. HRV (Hear rate variability) for nervous system health
  4. EIS for overall functional vitality in various areas, acidity/alkalinity, identification of possible focal area
  5. Introspect for qualitative strain, pathogen and some toxin assessment.

See www.thebep.co.uk for outline of details. There are devices used by other practitioners that may also help.

Where can I use the PTD?

There are really no restrictions!
Except:
- very hot or very cold! Works in Mexico- not tried on Mt Everest!
- in or under water

Technical Aspects

Is this an assessment device, a balancing device or both?
The PTD is a therapy style device, operating on the body’s heath software system: the self regulating system. It does not have a direct physiological effect. Any effects are a result of corrected functioning of the body.

How exactly does the device work? Does it need power?
The PTD provides a carefully defined magnetic pattern that is the same sine wave form as the body uses. Power is provide by a rechargeable battery operating at 3.6 volts.

What is the recharge time?
The recharge is a trickle charge to optimise battery life (10 000. charges) and takes about 12 hours.

What is the emission signal?
The frequencies- waveforms- are magnetic. This enables a no skin contact device and a pattern that has deep body penetration.

Where on the frequency spectrum does the frequency emitted by this device fall?
There are low and high frequencies. The low frequencies are the main active component and are from 0-100 Hz. The high frequencies are a special aspect for the PTD technology and are patented.

What is the frequency wave emitted by the device?
The PTD provides a carefully defined magnetic pattern that is the same sine wave form as the body uses. There are low and high frequencies. The low frequencies are the main active component and are from 0-100 Hz. The high frequencies are a special aspect that makes the PTD considerably nore effective than the PTD technology and are patented.

What is the voltage and amperage of the device?
The signal is electromagnetic: this enables better body penetration. The signal power is within INCRIP regulatory parameters.

Has anyone submitted the device to any agencies for approval?
The PTD has FDA registration and CE classification, both under Medical Devices categories.

In what countries has the PTD medical registration?
USA via FDA registration.
Europe via CE Classification.
Australasia - TGA registration has not yet been applied for.
Canada - registration has not yet been sought.
Mexico - registration has not yet been sought.

If the device is not yet registered in my country can I import/use it?
Certain countries allow private import for personal use. Registration is required in most countries for resale. Some countries allow device use for experimental purposes by licensed health professionals. Please check in your country.

Some body Basics

How does the body Function
A little like a computer or a modern car. There is a control system that drives health sustaining processes. You have a software “template” and physical processes. Both are important and interdependent. Continual physical abuse can corrupt the software- just like hitting the same computer key too many times, too fast can cause computer software to freeze! Similarly software can be “corrupted” by harmful signals- emotional, thoughts, external electro smog.

How do health disturbances happen?
Illnesses do not come upon us out of the blue.
They are developed from small insults daily against Nature.
When enough insults have accumulated, illness will suddenly appear.

Hippocrates

What ways are there to correct health disturbances?

  1. Supportive lifestyle
  2. Correcting the self regulating system using the PTD so that health process software can be corrected and good vitality/resource from lifestyle can be better used.

PTD User Support

How do I get support for the PTD usage?

Send an email with your question on our contact page.

If your question is about usage for a specific issue then please read the User Application Guidelines first. Then if you need help please include the following include the following:
Age
Gender
Email
Contact Phone Number
Country

For each issue

  • Description of symptoms (what you experience e.g. fatigue, lack of sleep etc)
  • Any medical description that your health professional has issued
  • How long you have had the issue
  • On a scale of 1-5 how severe is the issue (5 is extremely debilitating)
  • What have you tried with what success?

We can suggest (without liability) programs and usage methods that might be appropriate.

Health and Wellness Issues - Conditions Treated

What specific imbalances will be addressed by this device?
The PTD programs use only frequencies that firstly had a solid pedigree and secondly hat were validated during beta and subsequent tests. Some programs (1-2-3) steps relate to relief from an issue and some focus on the specific aspects of an dysfunction. The 7-8 step programs address all aspects of an issue that there are validated frequencies for.

My issue is not listed
Some issues have a different name: do a Google search. There may not be a specific, validated frequency for your issue. If you can understand the process associated with your imbalance this may identify some intervention points. If there is an organ involved then use the organ program. If there is a system that is imbalanced then treat the whole set of organs involved in that system e.g. hormones, circulation. A sequence once or twice a day (not continuously) will progressively support the organs.

Are there any imbalances that are contraindicated by this device?
See contraindications.

PTD Testing

How has the device been tested?
Yes. The EIS and Introspect are the principle devices used for development and refinement of PTD program supplement by user feedback.

Clinical trials.
There is a major long term fully accredited clinical study in progress focusing progressively in programs in the flowing categories. Initial results are expected by the end of 2010. This follows and initial medical evaluation.

See more Testing results in our Science & Research section.

The PTD and Modern Medicine

Is the PTD a Medical Device?
Yes and no.
Yes: for client safety purposes the manufacturer has a CE registration under medical devices.
No: it does not work “medically” on you. It is not like medications: it does not act physiologically, bio-chemically or on conditions or disease. It works on the software- the Self Regulating System” – that supports and creates good health.

Will the PTD “cure” my disease?

  1. The PTD does not treat diseases!
  2. Only nature “cures”- you are designed with amazing resource for self healing and given the right physical and software (self regulating system) support you have an amazing “self fix” ability. The PTD is the software (SRS) companion to good, supportive lifestyle.
  3. If the pTD help resolve an issue it has helped your natural system to do so- it has certainly not doe this by direct intervention.

PTD History and Manufacture

How was the PTD developed?
HTS (Health Tech Sciences) assessed that there was a potential benefit in clients from experience in 140 clinics they facilitated to have more regular treatment and a system that gave them more ongoing control of their health. Many existing devices were tested and found not particularly effective. A whole range of frequencies and approaches were tested to find what actually worked. This led to a development program of a pilot device to validate and refine the approach, a pilot device and then a batch of 100 initial beta testing devices. When small operational bugs were resolved and real user operational validity established full production of the first 1000 units occurred. PTD’s have been is successful and reliable operation since 2009.

Who manufactures the PTD?
The manufacturer is a top level manufacturer of electronics for the aerospace industry.

How long has the device been in use?

Date Process
2004 Assessment of existing devices Theoretical reviews- existing knowledge & current technology
2005-2006 Experimental validation(frequencies, waveform, field strength, program sequence)
2005-2007 Prototype design/manufacture Prototype testing
Nov 2007 Beta testing preproduction samples
Jan 2008 First production batch (100 units) Batch Beta testing
Dec 2008 Second Production Batch (900 units)
July 2010 Sales to date 600 units Start of worldwide market release

Is this the original model of the device or have there been additional generations developed?
This is the first generation PTD. There are developments that will occur progressively. The first is to create more standard programs. Others will be progressive changes. The ease of use and effectiveness are well demonstrated and no major changes are scheduled.

What countries are using this device?
Norway, Sweden, Denmark, UK, Holland, Romania, USA.

How long does it take a user to become adept at using the device?
About 5 minutes! The main investment is in understanding your specific health disturbance areas and selecting the appropriate programs.

Safety and Side effects

What happens if I use the wrong Program?
The self regulating system ignores information that is not needed, just like we do in normal life. If you use the wrong program excessively then your system may decide to ignore even needed signals. An example is accommodation to TENS signals after too much use. Appropriate use is the key and this comes from your own experience.

Can babies use the program?
In principle: yes. Babies and young children are quite sensitive and generally receptive to positive input. They generally need less strong input and shorter times. It is suggested to have the PTD about 20 cm away from the focal area/body so the pattern is less strong (it reduces substantially with distance). The response can generally be seen by changes in behaviour- calmer, less tears, less agitated etc.: just like the transition after any supportive action like feeding!

Can children use the program?
Yes young children are quite sensitive and generally receptive to positive input. They generally need less strong input and shorter times. It is suggested to have the PTD about 20 cm away from the focal area/body so the pattern is less strong (it reduces substantially with distance). We suggest care with children under 5. The response can generally be seen by changes in behaviour- calmer, less tears, less agitated etc.: just like the transition after any supportive action like feeding!

Contraindications

  • Pregnancy
  • Pacemakers and other electrical implants (e.g. cerebral implants, insulin implants). Please also recognise that there is a radius of effects and a separation of >1.5 metres (3 feet) is recommended from persons with implanted devices
  • Epilepsy or proneness to seizures
  • Under influence of drugs or alcohol

Can pregnant people use the PTD?
The effects and safety on pregnant people has not been tested. Please also recognise that there is a radius of effects and a separation of >1.5 metres (3 feet) is recommended from persons who are pregnant.

Can people with pacemakers use the PTD?
The effects and safety on pacemaker users has not been tested. Please also recognise that there is a radius of effects and a separation of >1.5 metres (3 feet) is recommended from persons with implanted devices.

Interferences with other devices and locations.
No adverse effects have been reported in respect of usage for locations, environments or people. This relates to normal situations of operation. There are areas to be aware of as below: this is not necessarily comprehensive.

The effects of using the PTD simultaneously with other devices have not been assessed and it is recommended that it is used separately. Do not operate the PTD in the vicinity of other medical or health devices, therapeutic or monitoring, that may be affected by the PTD emissions. This includes external and implanted devices. The PTD should not be on the person during any medical monitoring operation as the effects have not been assessed.

The use of the PTD in hospital and similar environments has not been assessed: On occasions where permission has been granted no adverse effects have been reported. These situations have not been recorded. However there may be certain sensitive locations (e.g. where mobile phones are strictly prohibited) where this is a more important consideration.

Other environmental effects, especially in extremes, have not been assessed. Such aspects may include magnetic fields, external electrical influences, electrostatic discharge; extremes of pressure, or variations in pressure or acceleration.

The effective of airport and other screening systems on the PTD have not been assessed. Dialogue with travellers has not indicated any effects. Usage in aircraft has not been assessed: mainly due to no definitive information being available of the type and intensity of signals that may create an effect. Each airline has a specific policy that should be followed. In general devices should not be used during normal prohibition times such as take off and landing. Please discuss with the aircraft crew.

Extreme heat and cold, in use or storage, may affect the operation of the PTD: please refer to the product specifications.

Do not use the PTD in any adverse environment, including the presence of flammable gases or anaesthetics.

Can I use the PTD when I am using medications?
Generally when an organism is healthy there may be no or little requirement for medications. Medications have different effects according to their purpose and mechanism of operation. The PTD does not act in the same way as most medications. When the PTD assists in successfully restoring health the body may have a changed need for medication. If you are using medications then it is your responsibility to check with a health professional how to monitor the effects of the medication and what signs may indicate that a change in medication is warranted.

Medications may be addressing the end results of a faulty process- as a compensation for symptoms rather than addressing the underlying issue. They tend to be compensatory rather than fundamental. Self regulatory processes also use body feedback- if they are compensating totally and the body measurement parameters (e.g. internal blood pressure sensors) say that the situation is stable then the self regulatory systems may see things as OK and ignore information from the PTD.

If however either the medication is not fully compensating or you are in a non medication interval (between doses) then the self regulatory system will be out of balance and may adopt compensatory information from the PTD. When the medication is taken it generally does not work on the self regulatory system but on the consequences of disruption (manifestation e.g. blood pressure). Thus if you have used the PTD to successfully adjust the self regulatory system for blood pressure and it shows a reduction in blood pressure, when you take the medication the BP may drop too low.

Note that effects from the PTD generally show within 30 minutes for BP and blood sugar issues.

The awareness of this process is most important when an extreme correction is being applied with medications and where this is more critical to health stability. It is probably less of an issue when small corrections are being made: you can get a feel for this from the dose level and the test results that you do (Glucose, BP) or that your doctor does.

If you are using medications then it is important to:

  • Discuss with your Doctor that you are going to try another non medical method that supports the organ/system being healthier.
    • Ask what signs and/or problems could arise if something else worked and you took the medication. Be aware of signs that resolution is “overworking”.
    • Ask how you can self monitor (for insulin- glucose prick test, for blood pressure BP monitor)
  • Recognise that neither the PTD supplier nor any health professional that is not a medical doctor can legally suggest that you stop or change medications. Educational information sources can be offered for you to review: in fact anything that is in the public knowledge arena.
  • Note that the PTD and medications should be used apart in time from each other. This is the way to separate the PTD effects away from medication effects.

The following are medications that may be relevant- the suggestions are not exclusive. Where possible you should have a reference profile when using medications only- during at least one day at regular intervals. Please do not just dive in to PTD use!

  • Insulin- consider reduced dose and monitor closely. Signs of hypoglycaemia will be obvious to you.
  • Blood pressure- beta blockers etc. Use BP monitor.
  • Blood thinners- (e.g. warfarin) checks are usually monthly but you may be able to request weekly checks. Discuss effects of thickening specifically for you.

Detailed Notes on Program Selection and Usage

Selecting a suitable program

  • Use general programs on a regular basis as desired> this supports health and provides resilience against health “insults”
  • Stimulate weak organ systems / problem areas, if any> this supports health and provides resilience against health “insults”
  • Whenever a health issue appears, be quick to use the PTD on whatever program fits the need
  • Allow the body’s self regulating mechanisms to work on the problem before “overriding” it with chemicals.
  • Use PTD as needed to help the body operations
  • Contact professional help, i.e. PTD support, your therapist or MD, if the problem is not solved within reasonable time. (If the problem is life threatening, call for an ambulance first, then find your PTD)

Best combo and sequence

  1. Associated organ (most organs are available)
  2. Specific issue
  3. Organ & Regulation of associated organ (not for all organs)

Program focus 1 and 2 enable the best foundation for supporting solution of a specific SRS disturbance when using the program selected in 3. If all three can be applied to the causal issue (not only the noticed showing: casual issues can be remote e.g. thyroid and heart) the resolution can be within 1-3 weeks. Staying resolved depends needs the causal and/or trigger factors to be recognised and addressed.

If the organ has lost a lot of its wellness then the same process can be applied but treatment may need to be regular.

Programs are usually most effective work with function, organ and organ regulation (coordination of activities).

If you just work with function the organ will improve but this will take some time. Since you are helping the “bricks” it will build a good foundation: so it is a very important long term element. For example: regulation of heart function has a more immediate effect if the organ is strong. If a weakened organ is treated first, given a resource to become stronger, then the regulation of heart program can be more effective.

With a weakened organ more uses of regulation (function) will be needed. If for some reason the organ is weakened then regulation will help with the end disturbance, but treatment may need to be ongoing, regular, daily e.g. if for an arrhythmia problem the causal issue can’t be fixed there may be benefit in using the arrhythmia or regulation of heart programs daily.

If there is a specific issue related to an organ then work with organ, issue and regulation.

Organ, Regulation and Specific Issue Programs
Organs have many processes at many different frequencies; like an orchestra that has many different instruments playing a different set of sounds with different waveforms and frequencies. There is an overall primary sound, a dominant waveform. Each player contributes to the overall waveform, listens to it and tunes to this. Organ treatments provide the total frequency signature of an organ and in practice this seems to work “backwards” as a tuning facility. Each functional element of the organ listens and seems to adapt making the organ stronger in its function.

Regulation is about process, the overall, integrated operation e.g. the whole digestive process. The conductor directs the operation of each instrument to bring them in at the right time with the right beat. Body regulation has a signal set different from individual organ process, coordinating them. It may be a nervous system process (heart) or a muscle process (digestion- valve opening, peristalsis). There are multiple processes with an organ. Regulation “integrates or coordinates“ the operation. If addressing a specific e.g. stomach issue, then regulation of the whole digestive may well be upset. When a family member has a problem the whole family may be affected, normal processes become unbalanced.

Specific issue programs focus on the primary loss of a particular supportive regulation signal: a signal that normally works to hep prevent the issue or reduce its showing. These programs e.g. stomach ulcer, may be accompanied by support programs: they are the longer programs with several steps. Some specific programs have one step only. For either style organ and regulation supports programs should also be used.

An example
A man has imbalances in the urination process: perhaps the need to urinate frequently, incomplete emptying. Often this is related to prostate disruption but may also relate to an infection. Without a specific assessment of casual issues the starting point is to look at prostate under the related category: Urinary. Possibilities include the SRS associated with prostate organ, prostatitis, prostate adenoma (enlargement) or more general programs such as inflammation.

If these don’t help enough look at other related program possibilities. The issue may be related to adrenals- 50% of prostate issue have this origin. If so consider adrenal problems and adrenal related imbalance. It may be an irritation from kidney infection. If you have issues that are not resolving seek health professional advice.

Hypertension as an example

  • Level > e.g. measure during the day for 2 days as a reference point
  • History
    • A long term issue? Underlying causes
    • More recent? Is there an underlying constant stress etc, or a certain event that acts as a trigger
  • Other methods
    • What have you tried? What worked? What didn’t’ work?
    • Have a test identified and underlying issue
    • Medical opinion: 5–10% of cases are caused by other conditions that affect the kidneys, arteries, heart, or endocrine system.
  • Response speed: usually within 30-60 minutes

Medical opinion: About 90–95% of cases are termed “primary hypertension”, which refers to high blood pressure for which no medical cause can be found.

Lifestyle

  • you eat too much salt;
  • you don’t eat enough fruit and vegetables;
  • you are not active enough;
  • you are overweight; or
  • you drink too much alcohol.

Functional

  • kidney excretion > Water retention, salt imbalance, kidney insufficiency
  • water retention > Water retention, salt imbalance, kidney insufficiency
  • Overactive SNS >> Stress/relaxation
  • Loss of arterial flexibility >> Arteriosclerosis program

There are several programs

  • Hypertension (general- both systolic and diastolic high)
  • Hypertension, diastolic
  • Hypertension, systolic

Frequency of use

If using medications >> see also notes on medications.

  • medication generally works on the consequences of disruption (manifestation e.g. blood pressure). Thus if you have used the PTD to successfully adjust the self regulatory system for blood pressure and it shows a reduction in blood pressure, when you take the medication the BP may drop too low.
  • So use away from medication and monitor

Emergency Issues

Be appropriate to the issue:

  • If the problem is life threatening, call for an ambulance first, then find your PTD!
  • Strokes, heart attacks, severe bleeding, severe hypoglycemia, meningitis etc. are examples of issues where there is very valid emergency treatment available!

Knowing treatment success
Naturopaths who do use standard (non technological) treatment processes use the following benchmark for chronic issues.

  • it takes up to 1 month per year of disturbance
  • disturbance starts 5-10 years before symptoms become significant

(Recall Hippocrates “sin against nature” statement!)

With technology the process is quicker. Users often think that nothing is happening or it is happening too slowly! It takes time: a rule of thumb is that subtle energetic level changes may take two weeks to show a change. Acupuncturists (who work on rebalancing the information flows in the body) generally tell clients that it may take 6 weeks to experience change that holds, based on weekly treatments. The body takes a long time to get ill- for the self regulating system to be significantly overloaded. It takes time to get well!

With the PTD you can accelerate this process- you can treat more regularly. However it is still important to allow change to happen: you want to support change and not force it. In education we often need time to assimilate new information or change: it is the same with the body.

So be patient!

There are two ways:

  1. Look for subtle changes: list what is creating concern: score it on a 1-10 scale (10 is most severe) and reassess daily. This regular review is important as we easily lose our reference point. Note also changes that were not listed: maybe a change in vitality etc. Ask others if they are seeing a change.
  2. Use an assessment device such as the EIS to identify changes at subtle levels.

Acute issues starting point

Location Usage per day
Treating local to issue Treat till some change starts, stop and wait.
Treat again when discomfort occurs.
Colds/Infections are different-see below. The change is faster when the PTD is applied locally.
Treating generally As above

For infections (e.g. colds, urinary infections, throat etc. continuous treatment seems to virtually stop the unhealthy process sin its tracks! This works best when a special program is compiled- add to the immune system program the specific issue (e.g. cold) into the empty slot frequency, set the time to 59.99 minutes and fill this into the 3 empty cycles. The tailored program will run for 195 minutes before you repeat it. Experience indicates that continuous use will often make the following day cold/infection free.

Chronic Issues starting point
Start at one per day unless if 2 or fewer steps run twice, up to a maximum of continuous use BUT this may not have more effect. We suggest that you space the treatments over the day- a starting point is to leave the same gap between treatments as the running time of the program. For chronic issues changes can be slow to show in physical changes so it is good to have an EIS test after a week or two to see what changes are in process.

Special Notes

Detoxification program: this has organ support programs in built. However the detox process places a load on detoxification organs so supports should also be used. Remember that we are restoring the self regulation nature of this process so it will work as it should: but in general detox is accompanied by a toxic load on processing organs (liver, kidneys especially). It is important to drink lots of quality water and supportive foods- and to go slowly!

Old unresolved issues
If an acute does not resolve then there are some knock on possibilities:

  • the natural response- inflammation- continues with the free radicals released from the immune system having a destructive effect of health tissue
  • the inflammation should tone down as healing proceeds. This is believed to be controlled by thyroid hormones. If this does not happen we end up with the same situation as above. Ultimately an auto immune issue can occur.
  • body goes from red to amber alert, downplaying its response and eventually appearing to ignore the issue. This is like an adaptation process to initially intrusive sound: it can become an almost unnoticed background noise. The injury is partly resolved and may even be isolated in a protective barrier: slightly uncomfortable but less intrusive that the two above scenarios.

Resolution is supported by:

  • reminding the system locally that there is an unfinished process, by providing self regulating information. This may wake up the brain to unfinished activity and it may also join the resolution party.
  • providing a resolution resource that can access the site. A shrouded injury allows limited passage of anti oxidants but appears to allow unimpeded access of electrons. Electrons are the ultimate antioxidant and also recharge cells. Studies indicate that they are valuable as part of inflammation reduction and healing. The beneficial aspect is that they are free- just walk barefoot of the ground. If that is not possible then contact us for E’sheets- these can connect to the earth (or sometimes if necessary to the house Earthing circuit) and that you can lie on conveniently at night (or any other time).

Assuming good resource the following PTD programs will support injury site specific programs:

  • Inflammation
  • Peripheral circulation
  • Lymphatic
  • Connective tissue

Slow results or too little change

  1. Correct program selected, full sequence and all aspects addressed (Associated organ, specific issue, regulation of associated organ
  2. Is there a causal issue not being addressed: one that is the foundation to the disturbance chain, creating the noticeable effect at a distance. This may be benefit from a health professionals input.
  3. Is the issue chronic, present for a long time: then it will take time to repair.
  4. Try more regular treatments
  5. Review lifestyle and triggers that may be contributing.

Supportive Programs

Programs that involve associated systems, organs e.g. red throat> tonsils, immune system, Programs that support resolution of the causal issue e.g. stress> ANS imbalance for sleep.

PTS Structural and Programs

What are the program Categories

Cardio-Vascular Injury / Joints
Dental Miscellaneous
Digestion Nervous System
Ear, Eye, Nose, Throat Respiration
Female Organs Skin
Headaches Symptomatic
Hormonal / Mineral Balance Urinary and Genitals

The programs within each category relate specifically to that category: for example adrenal balance under Urinary and Genitals relates to the adrenals in relation to this system only.

Why are medical names used for some programs?
Medical names are a good reference point: the user support manual indicates what aspects of the SRS (self regulation system) are targeted. Some issues are defined by a health professional in medical terms. Many programs have more general names.

Is the program a single frequency?
Many programs have several steps: these are designed to offer a general support around the focal issue. Some very targeted programs are single frequency. There are suggested support programs that can be used.

What makes up a complete program?
Most program have inbuilt (or offered as support programs) additional programs that support general associated systems/organs aspects.

User Mode

Can the user modify the programs?
Yes. The user mode enables you to establish and call up the changes below. This is a user personalization mode. It allows user configuration of programs and the importation of specific frequencies. Up to 50 tailored programs can be stored and accessed. This is a valuable facility that enables:

  • Import and modify an existing program to increase the operating time of a program
    • Adjust the program time to 59.99 minutes (standard is 15 minutes)
    • Adjust how many times the standard program operates up to 49 times. Thus if you have a program of 8 steps and have increased the operating per program to 59.99 minutes you could run the PTD for 48 hours continuously (but maximum usage is around 20 hours)
  • Adjust the frequency (if you have knowledge of another proven frequency: this does not affect the original base menu program)
  • Compile new program suites (combinations) from the base program list
    • Up to 8 steps per program
    • Modify all or some frequencies to
      • Some standard frequencies that are in the list
      • Some frequencies that you have experience of

Where can I access the full list of PTD programs?
See Appendix in the user manuals.

How do I get the best out of the PTD?

  1. Validate the issues that you wish to change.
  2. Understand the principles of the PTD.
  3. Understand how to select programs.
  4. Understand frequency of use
  5. Understand the difference between symptomatic and full programs
  6. Understand the difference between programs with 1-2-3 and 7-8 steps.
  7. Validate that your lifestyle is supportive
  8. See a Health professional to help issue identification.

Warranty

What is the warranty?
Two years from time of dispatch excluding abuse. See warranty in User manual.

What is the fault history?
There were two problems identified with the first 100 Beta testing units, both occurring during physical abuse like dropping it! The battery connection was improved and the LCD screen fixing improved. The fault level on the subsequent 600 sold is below 5 units: less than the mobile phone return rate.

How do I notify a fault?
There is a RGA (returned goods advice system): contact your supplier.

Other terminology

SRS: Self regulation system. This is the bodies “software” system that supports healthy processes.

Self regulation: a process where disturbances (to health) are restored by an automatic process to restore heath (homeostasis).

Naturopathy: a process of supporting the body’s natural health processes intended to improve self regulation and homeostasis, which can result in a reduction of manifestations of disturbances.

Manifestation: (indicator) an indication of the existence, reality, or presence of something: e.g. a high fever may be an early manifestation of a health disturbance.

Issue: a disturbance to health

Symptom: is “conventionally” described as is a departure from normal function or feeling. A symptom is subjective, observed by the person experiencing it, and not measured by an external event. Symptoms can be positive or negative events- warmth after a hot bath is symptom. A symptom may not be a malady, for example symptoms of pregnancy (big tummy!). A symptom is a sign of difference in you observed by you. However symptom has almost become a captive word classified as a medical term- when we talk about symptoms we are using the original general definition and not referring to medical symptoms. A disease or medical condition is an abnormal condition of an organism that impairs bodily functions, associated with specific symptoms and signs. These are possible indicators of a disease process. Thus a symptom is a sign, the showing of dysfunction. A symptom is not a disease.

Change: is the target of working with the PTD. We are used to assessing various changes as part of an improvement in health.

Diagnosis: is a process that aims to uncover the causal chain. It has been adopted as a medical term using typically medical analysis techniques (examination, medical tests etc.). Often the term is unfortunately used in conjunction with a “condition label” rather than the casual chain. For instance, a common disorder such as pneumonia does not on its own define a casual chain: as this may vary according to a persons health and weaknesses and these vary from person to person.

Assessment: is generally the term used by non medical health professionals and generally does not use the same medical tools as a diagnosis. It is more possibilities than definite information about the casual chain.

Causal Chain: signs of an issue (symptoms) may be from a direct easily established event or result from an old event e.g a history of gum disease is linked to heart issues. For long term issues understanding the causal chain is important in identify the chain of disturbances to treat.

Cure: A cure is the end of a medical condition. It is adopted firmly by the medical world and can not legally be used by non medical health professionals or devices. The philosophy of naturopathy and the PTD is that the body has the role and abilities to “cure” itself. Inherent in the idea of a cure is the permanent end to the specific instance of the disease. When a person has the common cold, and then recovers from it, the person is said to be cured, even though the person might someday catch another cold. Conversely, a person that has successfully managed a disease, such as diabetes mellitus, so that it produces no undesirable symptoms for the moment, but without actually permanently ending it, is not cured.
